Simbu is eagerly awaiting the release of 'Osthi', the Tamil remake of Salman Khan's 'Dabangg'. "It is the first full-fledged commercial movie of mine which is loaded with all necessary hit ingredients," said the actor in a recent interview.

Osthi an other remake movie in Tamil film industry. Tamil film industry became a money making industry in India. So that producers and directors are started remaking the successful movies from other regional language, instead of doing their own.
We were aware that Osthi is also a remake of the 2010 blockbuster hindi film Dabangg, directed by Abhinav Singh Kashyap and written by Dileep Shulka.
Oshi Movie releasing on November 11, 2011. The team was planned to release the movie on Diwali festival but later it was changed to Nov 11, 2011 since two major movies are releasing for Diwali on Oct 26, 2011. Vijay's Velayutham and Surya's 7aam Arivu are those two movies.
Silambarasan, Richa Gangopadhyay, Githan Ramesh, Sonu Sood, Saranya Mohan, Nizhalgal Ravi, Revathi, Ganesh, Santhanam, Mayilsamy, Thambi Ramaiah, Mallika Sherawat are playing lead roles in Osthi Tamil Movie.
Music was scored by S Thaman and Directed by S Dharani. Osthi was produced by Mohan Apparao and T Ramesh. Osthi was planned to release under Balaji Real Media Pvt Ltd, Reliance Entertainment banners.
Sony Music bought the rights of Osthi Songs. The lyrics were penned by the great tamil lyricist Vaali, Yuga Bharathi and STR.
